Member can once again add "tags" to their posts.  These tags will be integral to the new search feature (coming hopefully in the near future).  Post any tagging questions, concerns, bugs under this topic.

Tags will be given "search preference" during  searches so they will be valuable in boosting the ranking of any post. They should be used carefully and with forethought.  Here are some guidelines.

1. Upon typing a tag, a list of current tags will appear that contain your typed characters anywhere within the tag.  Using an existing tag will prevent "tag proliferation" and makes the entire system more efficient.

2. Tags are limited to 32 characters.  You are better off using two shorter tags than one long tag.  Remember, searchers (and the search engine) are looking for key terms, not phrases.

3. Avoid generic terms like "health" or "heart" or "help" or "Dr. Davis" or "Inner Circle."  Such terms provide little insight as to what a post is about.

4. Avoid unusual or cryptic terms that searchers are unlikely to use in a search.  Such terms are of little use if no one ever searches for them.

5. Use versions of terms that are most common.  For example, most searchers will search for "DNA" rather than "deoxyribonucleic acid."  Side note, using "deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)" is even worse. The search engine will not parse your tag and your post will not be elevated in rank on a search for "DNA"

Bob:

I removed the "nonsense" term.  If you need other edits let me know.
