Hi, I apologize if this has been addressed but I could not find it in my searches. I have Celiac, Gastroparesis and Fibromyalgia. I’ve been gluten free over 4 yrs and grain free on wheat belly for a year. I recently reviewed my supplements and realized that I was not taking enough fish oil or prebiotics. I’ve been taking Metagenics Ultra Flora Spectrum probiotic for a couple of years (30B).

As I was slowly adding in my inulin, green bananas and raw potatoes this past week, I have been having awful bloating and can tell that my food is not passing through as quickly as before (thanks from the probiotic, bullet proof coffee and water consumption). I quickly realized that I was having the same issues previously, before diagnosed with GP, where eating more fiber was extremely uncomfortable.

GP protocol is low fat and low fiber which contradicts this WOE. I am definitely eating smaller meals which has turned this around until the reintroduction of prebiotics.

I had been tested this summer when I had a bad intestinal pain that went away. There were no infection nor candida. I believe that testing for SIBO via the breath test will show positive regardless due to the slow motility. I’m at a loss on whether to attempt the SIBO protocol anyways or maybe some modified version of it. I also do not think that I will get a conclusive answer when testing for recurrence either.

Looking for some guidance please. Thanks in advance.

Jean
