Back in September, I reported a reduced calcium score from 215 (October 2015) to 137 (September 2018).  This was very exciting and I credit Koncentrated K along with Magnesium, VIT D.  Interestingly, in May 2017 I dropped Crestor.  However, I do use Slo-Niacin, Zetia, and Welchol to maintain lipids near 60/60/60.  I don’t tolerate statins due to brain fog, sleep disturbances (severe - like blow my head off).

Unfortunately, I had the reverse happen with my CIMT in January 2019.  Here is the progression of my CIMT over the past several years.

So the doctor was very concerned about the Bulb increase and blames this on me being off a statin.  He also believes the Calcium Score was in error and that they must "need to calibrate their machine."  He suggested I start using Repatha since I can not tolerate a Statin and get my LDL super low.  My father had a major stroke when he was 55 and I am now 55.  This is the doctor that treated my dad and he is a good man.... and he cares.

I have three questions.

1) How in the world do you interpret these measures.  I have found no percentile charts or any references that let me understand how "bad" this is.

2) Is it possible that the calcium score could decrease so dramatically while the CIMT increased?

3) Is Repatha worth a try?

I really appreciate any feedback.  It is an odd mix of test results.
