I have been making the detox shakes without prebiotic fibers because I think I may have SIBO.  I love the shakes because they fill me up and I feel like I’m getting a lot of what I need.  However, I am still getting extremely nauseous & am wondering if it could be the coconut oil?  The shake fills me up & I am rarely able to eat lunch, but by 4 pm I feel horrible. I force myself to eat and feel a little better after...

Thoughts?

I’ve had the same reaction to coconut oil before, so you could try eliminating that. Coconut oil doesn’t really have any nutrition either so you won’t be missing anything

The only way to pinpoint coconut oil as the culprit is to make the Detox Shake without it to asses whether the response persists or not, Lissy.

If it persists, then it is likely SIBO.

I was responding to the comment " I thought we just want to load up on fat??? "

Without the other aspects of the Undoctored way of eating it is pretty meaningless..

The SAD can include loading up on fat..

Hi Lissy,
What stands out to me is the possibility of fat malabsorption,  which is discussed as a symptom of SIBO.
