Hi,

Could I please get some input on my blood work for pre-diabetes?
I am within the ranges of the medical establishment, but above all of Dr. Davis’ suggested ranges.  I’ve been on this program about two years, and this part of the program is my nemesis.  I resist having to check blood sugar before and after every meal because of the difficulty getting a drop of blood out of cold fingers (hypothyroidism) and having to stick my finger repeatedly and squeezing.

So I’ve been just guessing in terms of carbs.  I’m off all grains and sugars and I use stevia for sweetening, but I do love the cookies and muffins I can make with almond flour and may be overdoing it with those.  I also eat a lot of nuts.  I also notice that the L. reuteri yogurt causes an increase in blood sugar by about 10 points.   SIBO may be an issue.

Also, another issue I’ve had on this diet is flatulence.  Has anyone else had a problem with an increase of this problem?  I’m assuming it’s because I’m eating so many more veggies, but they are all cooked.  It’s very annoying!

Thank you for your help!

Thanks Dr. Davis:

Do you have any videos or blog info on the 15 gm net carb counting?  I’m not having luck with the no change rule without squeezing my finger.

Thank you,
Virginia

Thanks Bob and Rodney for the info!  Every little bit helps.  I have been practicing meditation more frequently, but had not heard about it helping with blood flow.  Thanks again!

Virginia
