Here are some recent blood test results for me and my identical twin brother.

We don’t eat the same way. I’m keto-carnivore (low carb) and he eats a broader spectrum of foods, including potatoes, some bread, and some fruit.

He also takes low-dose Crestor.

I’ve marked the reference ranges in some cases to be what the Undoctored targets are.

Malcolm                               Myron (Twin Brother)                    Ref Range

Some comments:

*It seems unusual that my brother has better HbA1c than me. I’ll point out that I just had another HbA1c done by SpectraCell last month and my value was 5.2.

*My brother’s fasting insulin level of 8.7 was actually a prior result from last year, because his (dumb) doctor wouldn’t authorize the test this time.

*My brother has Hashimoto’s (based on his thyroid antibody value). Maybe that’s the reason his hsCRP (an inflammation marker) is elevated.

My GGT used to hover around 60 as well. But my brother had an 89, last year. This time it’s reversed. My GGT has been climbing since I adopted a more animal-based eating style.

My Ferritin has been climbing a bit as well. My brother’s lower Ferritin value might be from him taking a statin drug (which can lower Ferritin according to Ivor Cummins).

My Free T3 is very low. I was taking a small dose of dessicated thyroid but I stopped taking it 3½ months ago. Some “paleo experts” say Free T3 drops with low-carb eating and that it’s nothing to worry about. But I’m planning to resume taking the hormone supplement.

I believe the liver is normally involved with T4 to T3 conversion. My high GGT might reflect some liver dysfunction that is preventing the conversion process. But I know I don’t have fatty liver as I have had a liver ultrasound that revealed no fatty liver. (My brother does have some fatty liver based on his ultrasound).

*My brother’s trigs (70 mg/dL) were surprisingly low considering his diet. Although in previous testing they’re not too bad either (around 85 for him).

That’s about it for now.

Cool, closest thing we have to cloning only by natural selection. I thought that was the case, just wasn’t sure.

I’m confused. Dr. Davis says that carbs raise triglycerides, but you’re brothers triglycerides are fairly low. A number of even fruitarians blood panels have came back with low triglycerides as well
