HeartHawk -
How about another sub-forum under Main Forums? How about this new forum:
Research Articles & Resources
There are several TYPers who post research data/articles (as informational resources on various topics related to heart disease, lipids, etc.) and sometimes they are spread over a number of forums. On several occasions, I have seen multiple forums dominated (80%) by these research article posts. Unfortunately, these posts, interesting and valuable as they are, obscure other posts. In some cases the original poster continues to post to his own thread w/o little or no discussion -- nothing wrong with that if they were a "Research Articles & Resources" forum.
Of course, other threads (questions, commentary, tutorials, etc.) often include research articles and links within the threads as part of a on-going discussion flow. Nothing wrong with that since it is part of the discussion flow whereas threads introduce research articles for informational purposes. Of course, the poster could also add the research article to the "Research Articles& Resources" forum, if they so choose. Again, such a forum would become a single-source library for a large number research articles. It would make searching a little easier also.
This occurred to me when searching for something and discovering Lynne's post ref hdlforum.org. That post would be one for the new forum!!

I think this would be good. Let's think about and let it gel. Maybe, hearthawk might have some ideas on how to do this.

I agree. Having a one-stop-shop for sorting through all the great studies and abstracts posted on the forum would be nice.
