Here’s an article from a blogger who focuses on bone health, but there is overlap with other aspects of health such as heart disease.

Her research suggests you’ll get the same benefit if you eat an apple a day versus popping a statin.

Before reading the link, I would jokingly suggest " of course you would get the same benefit; which is " none"..

Seriously, I like apples.  I like to think they are healthful...

Malcom.....years ago when I was working, I would go through 6lbs of apples a week. I love apples but have not had any in 2 years since starting wb diet.

I don’t eat apples anymore. But I posted the link to the article anyway.

My wife used to eat lots of apples. I pointed out to her that her HbA1c was getting a little high (5.7).

She stopped eating apples after that.

I know it violates WB’s net carb limit, but I love a baked apple very occasionally. Apple’s good for the gut as well (prebiotic) and anti histamine
