These are two sets of thyroid results I did recently.  The first set I was told may not have been accurate because I had stopped my armour thyroid (30 mg once daily) two days before the draw.  On the second set of results, I continued my armour and only withheld it the day of the draw.  I didn’t repeat the last three tests, as it wasn’t necessary.  My fT3 and ft4 actually decreased.  My TSH decreased a little too.  The only one which improved was the TSH.  Don’t understand why my fT3 and fT4 went down even further.  Any thoughts?  Any suggestions about what to do next?  Should I increase the dose of my armour thyroid?  I am pretty frustrated.  My AM sublingual temps never get above 96.6.

Thank you!  Virginia

I’ve always had good results taking all at once, Mcd.

Some argue that the half-life of T3 is too brief and frequent dosing is required, but the tissue half-life is longer, thus once-per-day dosing works fine.
