Oops the whey wasn’t as much as I thought, the other that I thought was whey is a more liquified part of the mixture.

It’s appropriate for the water to be 100 degrees. That’s what will make the yogurt be 97 degrees. It’s the temp of the yogurt that matters.

Thank you Rodney, I have 10 hours before the second batch is done. It looks good from what I can’t tell. I am going to go try to find some H&H that is not ultra and regular.

Thank you Rodney, my second batch just finished and it is lovely. Yes I made sure it did not have any other ingredients. I was thankful that I was advised about that.

I used the pyure granulated. It also contains eythritol. I used a fairly small amount.

I just have to say, I have never been a yogurt lover or even someone who likes yogurt. I am loving this l Reuteri yogurt.

I made my first batch and saved the whey liquid.  Question, when I make a second batch do I just use a certain amount of my yogurt to start batch number 2?  Is the whey liquid also used to make a second batch?

Are the ice cubes the frozen whey?  Can we also use the yogurt to restart another batch?  Thanks for your help.

The ice cubes can be frozen whey, yogurt, or a mixture of both. I have used all forms and never had an issue, but be sure to gently defrost before mixing into new batch if using frozen cubes. Can use yogurt/whey straight from the fridge also.
