Hi,

Has this been discussed yet?

I currently use a cpap when I sleep but I hope to be off of it some day (shed 20% of body weight). My question is that during the course of the night I must be swallowing air because I am burping up air and sometime even passing air in the morning when I get up from bed.
Any thoughts if this swallowed air could disrupt my bowel flora over time? I am trying a chin strap to try and keep my jaw from slacking but have not had consistent results to keep it from happening.

Thanks

I had this I changed my machine to a bi-pap vs a cpap and it fixed the problem. Talk to your supplier or Dr.

I can’t imagine that your CPAP is affecting bowel flora.

Thank you all for the help and suggestions.
Looking forward to not having to use it any more and the other health benefits that will come with it.
