An item we generally make for Thanksgiving is made from a mixture of canned whole cranberry sauce, mandarin oranges, and chopped walnuts...it is so incredibly tasty I have in the past eaten bowl size portions of this stuff. That was as I said in the past, now I am smarter and will not even consider eating a bowl of sugar disguised as "fruit". So to get a start on the holiday cooking we made our own instead of getting the items from a can. We boiled some fresh cranberries with orange zest (all organic) and monk fruit sweetener and it is so good.

What really put this stuff over the top though was mixing it into my L reuteri with some pecans... deeeelicious, I am so jazzed about this Lr/cran combo I cant wait till tomorrow Im gonna have more tonight. I may even test my BG 30 min PP just because something that tastes so good must be bad for you :)

Edit: good news, I did have more of the Lreuteri and cranberry concoction testing BG before it was 92 and after it was 94, so this one is a keeper...Yay!

Brilliant addition, Rodney! I’m going to have to try this. Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday plus I love cranberries! I made the same exact compote as you, but now i’m going to pick up some pecans and more cranberries, and make a yogurt parfait. :)

Thanks for this idea, Rodney! I’m following JenB’s example and figuring out how to put this together.
