I am interested in knowing where I could find info on getting a reliable CT Heart scan in my 92870 area? According to Medicare I am due for several tests. The CT Heart Scan is one of them. I do not know if you could advise me or not but I just had a Carotid Ultrasound. It showed 50 to 69! Stenosis of the left Carotid but had a disclaimer that due to the “ tortousity of the vessel it might be overestimated”? My right carotid was fine. I am concerned, as my last year Carotid ultrasound (done somewhere else citing amount of plaque & type of plaque) The left carotid last year, showed around 30 %, the right was clear.
This year ultrasound was ordered by my cardiologist. The ultrasound report is only one page with no mention of what type of plaque is on the left or right carotid & looks very different from my usual carotid ultrasounds. I saw red areas on the monitor after the ultrasound was done. I got home & immediately upped my Vitamin C, L-lysine & L-Proline as well as Citrulline Malate & L-Arginine to 10,000 Mg of Mg of Vitamin C , & L-Lysine plus 5,000 Mg of L Proline as per Pauling Protocol. My Cardiologist wanted me to take Lipitor 20 Mg but did not give me any further advice, of course. According to him my EKG was perfect & so was my Pulse & blood pressure. When I asked him if I could continue to take Red yeast Rice & have some wine with dinner he said yes. When I picked up the Lipitor the prospect said “No Red Yeast Rice while taking the Lipitor & no alcohol” as it could cause liver damage! I drink red wine with dinner. I have been on a gluten & grain free diet for several years, have a very healthy diet with mainly salmon, plenty of a variety of green, red, yellow vegetables, almonds, homemade kefir & yogurt, berries walnuts, chia seeds & flaxseeds, olive oil, avocados, sugar free dark chocolate, etc. I exercise on a regular basis. I am 5’5” & 130 lbs., take lots of supplements, among others Omega 3s Vitamin D 3, ( my levels are between 59 to 70 plus), calcium & minerals, Vitamin K2, M-K4 & MK7, Red Yeast Rice, Magnesium around 1,000 Mg per day, Vitamin C, & many more. My HDL is always high close to 100 or more, 111 last year. My Direct LDL was 87 last year with the Boston Heart test, however it did show an increase to my Lp(a)to 92. My Triglycerides were 33, % sdLDL-C 21 Apo A-1 212. I am a high absorber, specially of Beta Sitosterol 184, Lathosterol 101. Could anybody’s tell me where I could get a reliable Heart Scan for a calcium score in my area? Needless to say I am concerned with the Carotid Ultrasound results.
Hello Kris: thank you! I finally figured it out. Could you tell me where I could find info on getting a CT Heart scan in my 92870 area? According to Medicare I am due for several tests. Could you send me a link to where I could have some guidance regarding my concerns?

It’s confusing.
Maybe you could type out exactly what the ’results’ said of all ultrasounds you’ve had.
