Provide physical information about each test (kit contents, collection procedure, cost, strains tested etc.). 2. Compare the results of each test.  Theoretically, because each test uses PCR (actual bacterial DNA), they should all provide similar results. My process was simple: 1. Order tests kits from from Genova Diagnostics (GI Effects Comprehensive Stool Profile), Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory (GI-Map), Verisana Lab (Gut Health Stool Test), and Viome (Gut Intelligence). 2. Submit samples from a common stool specimen simultaneously collected and submitted as directed in each stool test kit. Here is a brief graphic and text description of each test kit. Genova Diagnostics GI Effects Kit Source: Dr. Kristen Reynolds (available only from registered professionals, had to contact company for provider list). Price: $359 List, $287.20 Professionals (what I paid), added Zonulin test for additional $64. Specimen Collection Method: Hand-held tray. Return Using: Fedex (pre-paid, pre-labeled envelope). Notes: The only multi-sample (4) test, includes extensive survey on stool specimen, symptoms, diseases, etc. Diagnostic Solutions GI-Map Kit Source: Dr. Michele Reyes (available only from registered professionals, had to contact company for provider list) Price: $359 List, 338.40 Professionals (what I paid), added Zonulin test for additional $64. Specimen Collection Method: Hand-held tray. Return Using: Fedex (pre-paid, pre-labeled envelope) Notes: None Viome Gut Intelligence Kit Source: Ordered online https://www.viome.com/products/gut-intelligence Price: $149, currently on sale for $129 as of this writing Specimen Collection Method: Toilet-mounted, paper collection strip Return Using: United States Post Office pre-printed label and envelope Notes: Slick packaging (box in box in sleeve), all online, ordering, kit registration, survey, email progress updates.
