because it means that my growth rate over the last year and a half was only 5.7%, as opposed to the previous growth rate of 27%.
10/16/09 1589.7
04/18/08 1461.1
05/11/07 1166.4
What did it? I really don’t know. I can’t take statins or niacin, I still have high Lp(a), and a recent blood test shows high LDL-P and high % of small LDL. But I did increase vitamin D levels from 20s to high 40s.
I’ve been taking:
4000 IU vitamin D (recently increased to 6,000 IU)
3000 mg fish oil
flaxseed, oat bran, almonds
One other good thing. When the heart hospital called with my results, I asked if they knew any board certified lipidologists or cardiologists who knew about and treated Lp(a). She actually knew what I was talking about, said many of their doctors were using Berkeley tests now and gave me a couple of names.
HOPE!
Linda

Yup, Lindy, that's 3000 EPA/DHA. Have trouble digesting that much, so not sure about going up.
Thanks for the support! You folks are the best.

Just purchased a 16.9 fl. oz bottle of Carlson’s Very Finest Fish Oil for $45.59. At that price, I expect it to cure everything!
